Description

1940’s Style American US Tanker / Bomber Jacket

To extend our men’s clothing range we decided to produce a fashionable, practical, comfortable and value for money 1940s Style Bomber Jacket American US WW2 Tanker Jacket First Pattern. Styled on the iconic 1st Pattern US Tanker Jacket of 1941 vintage – and not an expensive replica made to collector or museum specifications.

Officially called the “Jacket, Combat, Winter” the 1st pattern tankers jacket was first introduced in 1941 for armoured vehicle and tank crews and soon became very popular amongst US troops. This style jacket was recently worn by Brad Bitt as “War Daddy” in the 2016 war film “Fury” about a World War 2 Sherman Tank crew towards the end of the war in 1945.

Our 1940s Style Bomber Jacket American US WW2 Tanker Jacket First Pattern is styled on the rarer 1st pattern US Tanker Jacket with the large external patch pockets.

Jacket Features:

  • 100% Canvas Cotton Exterior in Khaki / Olive Drab.
  •  Polar Fleece Lining (far more comfortable than the notoriously itchy woollen lining of the originals).
  •  Elasticated Waistband, Cuffs and Collar.
  •  Rear Pleats for jacket expansion for comfortable movement.
  •  Metal YKK Zip
  •  Large External Patch Pockets (same as original 1941 1st pattern tanker jackets).
  •  2 Internal / Inside pockets.
  •  Internal Flap behind zip to protect from wind.
  •  Available in 3 sizes (S/M, M/L, L/XL)
  •  Our model wears a size M/L and is 6’1”/186 cm tall and has a 42 inch chest

A great fashionable jacket for casual use or even World War Two re-enacting.
